THEME: “DIALOGUE BETWEEN OPENING AND SPACE”
TOSTEM ASIA DESIGN AWARD 2026 (TADA 2026) is a regional architectural competition celebrating excellence in residential design across Asia. TADA 2026 invites architects, emerging designers, and students to explore how openings shape light, air, movement, view, and overall living experience. Through this platform, the award recognizes projects that demonstrate strong architectural thinking, spatial quality, and thoughtful integration of openings in residential design.

ABOUT TADA 2026
TOSTEM Asia Design Award 2026 is a regional competition that celebrates excellence in residential architecture across Asia. Under the theme “Dialogue Between Opening and Space,” participants are invited to explore how openings define spatial quality and shape the relationship between inside and outside. The award aims to recognize designs that bring together architectural concepts, living experience, and the thoughtful use of openings in residential space.

Presented to outstanding completed residential projects that demonstrate excellence in architectural design, spatial quality, and living experience.
FUTURE RESIDENTIAL DESIGN AWARD
FUTURE PROJECTS: 4 WINNERS
Presented to outstanding unbuilt residential projects that reflect strong architectural vision, clarity of concept, and future design potential.
NEXTGEN AWARD
CONCEPTUAL PROJECTS: 2 WINNERS
Presented to students and emerging architects under the age of 30 whose residential proposals demonstrate originality, conceptual clarity, and promising future talent.
JURY MEMBERS
Entries will be reviewed by a panel of respected jury members from the regional and international architecture community.

WHO CAN ENTER
ARCHITECTURAL HOME OF THE YEAR AWARD: Open to professional architects, architecture firms, and design studios.
FUTURE RESIDENTIAL DESIGN AWARD: Open to professional architects, architecture firms, and design studios.
NEXTGEN AWARD: Open to architecture students, recent graduates, and emerging architects under 30 years old.
ELIGIBILITY
ARCHITECTURAL HOME OF THE YEAR AWARD
- Completed residential projects
- Built between 2022–2026
- Must integrate TOSTEM products
FUTURE RESIDENTIAL DESIGN AWARD
- In progress residential projects
- Expected completion date no later than 2027
- Must integrate TOSTEM products
NEXTGEN AWARD
- Conceptual residential design
- Maximum built-up area of 500 sqm
- Must include TOSTEM IN16 and GIESTA Series
- Must include at least one additional TOSTEM product

FILE PREPARATION GUIDELINES
- All materials must be submitted in English
- All images must be high resolution
- Each image must be uploaded as an individual file
- Colleges are not accepted unless otherwise stated
- All drawings must be clear and readable
- File names must follow the required format on the submission platform
- Uploaded files must remain within the platform’s file size limit
HOW TO SUBMIT

- Register an account or log in
- Select the appropriate award category
- Complete the online submission form
- Upload all required materials
- Review your submission carefully
- Submit before the deadline
A confirmation will be issued after successful submission.
JUDGING CRITERIA
ARCHITECTURAL HOME OF THE YEAR AWARD
Entries will be evaluated based on:
- Architectural concept and spatial quality
- Design execution and detailing
- Living experience and contextual response
- Integration of TOSTEM products
FUTURE RESIDENTIAL DESIGN AWARD
Entries will be evaluated based on:
- Strength of design vision and concept
- Spatial planning and design development
- Innovation and future potential
- Integration of TOSTEM products
NEXTGEN AWARD
Entries will be evaluated based on:
- Originality and concept clarity
- Design thinking and spatial response
- Creativity and future design potential
- Integration of required TOSTEM products
The jury’s decision will be final.
PRIZES AND WINNER TRIP
TADA 2026 will recognize a total of 10 winners across all categories.
Winning participants will receive:
- Official recognition as a TADA 2026 winner
- Announcement through official TADA communication channels
- Participation in the TADA 2026 award platform
- An exclusive trip to Tokyo, Japan
- Each winner may bring one accompanying person on the trip. Accommodation will be arranged on a shared-room basis, and the accompanying person must be at least 20 years old.
- Winners must confirm their participation with TOSTEM by 31 October 2026. If not confirmed, the prize may be forfeited.
- If the winner is unable to join the trip, the prize will be forfeited and no compensation, cash alternative, or substitution will be provided under any circumstances. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be given to any other person.

FAQ
Can I submit more than one project?
Yes. Multiple submissions are allowed, but each project must be submitted separately. Can one project be entered in more than one category?
No. Each project may be submitted to one category only.
Do all submission materials need to be in English?
Yes. All materials must be prepared in English.
Is TOSTEM product integration mandatory?
Yes. Product integration is required according to the rules of each category. Can I update my submission after uploading?
This depends on the submission platform rules and whether the entry deadline has passed. What happens after submission?
All entries will go through an eligibility review before proceeding to the judging process. How will winners be announced?
Winners will be informed directly and announced through official TADA channels. What happens if a winner cannot join the trip?
If the winner is unable to join the trip, the prize will be forfeited and no compensation, cash alternative, or substitution will be provided under any circumstances. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be given to any other person.
